Rufus Stone
A brand owned by TyrrellŐs that features red wines sourced from outside the companyŐs native Hunter Valley, Rufus Stone is a well-priced source of medium to full-bodied, approachable and spicy shiraz usually made without excessive ripeness or extract. The latest Heathcote Shiraz does this to a tee, while its opposite number from McLaren Vale performed rather well from the challenging 2011 vintage. The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec is another highlight Đ a wine you could cellar with great confidence for up to a decade.
