Round and soft, with an emphasis on stonefruit, pear and apple, it’s underpinned by a fine dustiness before finishing with a gentle acidity.

$21.88Jeremy’s score 91/100Luscious, deeply flavoured and finely balanced, this excellent durif presents an almost bloody and sour-edged expression of dark cherry, plum and berry flavour backed by typical varietal notes of roasting meats and dried herbs: bay leaf and oregano especially. There’s an undercurrent of dark chocolate and a lingering note of black jelly bean. A superb red for a very good barbecue.
