$22.00Jeremy’s score 91/100A cooler, later vintage produces an almost totally dry and faintly botrytised riesling whose lightly floral aromas of lime, apple and pear are backed by notes of citrus rind, tropical fruits and stonefruit. Round and soft, with an emphasis on stonefruit, pear and apple, it’s underpinned by a fine dustiness before finishing with a gentle acidity.

It’s long and shapely, with a chalky expression of stonefruit and citrus with some underlying nutty complexity that finishes savoury and quite dry, with hint of funk.

$21.88Jeremy’s score 91/100Luscious, deeply flavoured and finely balanced, this excellent durif presents an almost bloody and sour-edged expression of dark cherry, plum and berry flavour backed by typical varietal notes of roasting meats and dried herbs: bay leaf and oregano especially. There’s an undercurrent of dark chocolate and a lingering note of black jelly bean. A superb red for a very good barbecue.

$21.88Jeremy’s score 89/100Deep, dark and profoundly ripe, earthy and leathery, this classically rich and powerfully fruited Rutherglen shiraz delivers impactful plum, berry and prune-like flavour with gentle oak and meaty undertones. Its bouquet is underpinned by scents of the roasting tray, while there’s plenty of fine, drying tannins beneath its sumptuous core of fruit that will enable it to develop for at least a decade.

$285.00Jeremy’s score 90/100A deep, alluring perfume of violets, cassis, raspberries and mulberries is augmented by fresh, fine-grained cedar/vanilla oak and undertones of dried herbs. With time it has begun to reveal suggestions of wet wool and lanolin, losing the brightness of its youth. It’s still supple and fine-grained, with a lively core of red berry flavour, but it’s drying out from the finish and does finish with some slightly edgy and awkward aspects.

It’s medium-bodied, smooth and gentle, with a fine, elegant palate whose vivacious black, blue and red fruit flavours are underpinned by notes of beetroot, briar and charcuterie meats, extending down a loose-knit spine towards a lingering and brightly lit finish of licorice and fruit.

$60.00Jeremy’s score 95/100A superb, fine, Burgundy-like shiraz whose spicy fragrance of red cherries, redcurrants, blood plums and white pepper reveals a hint of meatiness and some very restrained, cedary oak. It’s richly and generously flavoured, with a mouthfilling presence of pristine redcurrant, cherry and raspberry-like fruit underpinned by fine, slatey tannins before finishing supremely long and savoury. Artfully balanced and delivering medium-weight Hunter style on steroids.
