Andrew Hardy brings his wealth of winemaking experience and unbridled enthusiasm to his family's historic vineyard in Upper Tintara, which includes a 2.5 hectare block of Ancestor Vine shiraz planted in 1891. His wines, reds especially, tell a story of why McLaren Vale can be so relevant today, both as a source of classic traditional Australian wine as well as more elegant and medium-bodied alternatives to what many drinkers believe the region is all about.
