ItÕs moderately long and rich, with a forward expression of plums and berries that becomes rather dehydrated down the palate, finishing with nuances of currants and prunes, plus a slightly raw and metallic cut of acid and tannin.

Mount Horrocks
Mount Horrocks is a long-established small Clare Valley producer whose range includes a delightfully fresh and faintly smoky barrel-fermented Semillon and the popular regional dessert wine benchmark of Cordon Cut Riesling. While its shapely Riesling is typical of the region, the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon each delivered finely crafted wines from the 2013 vintage.
