A delightfully smooth and even, early-drinking merlot with a developing colour and a bouquet whose presence of dark cherries, menthol, slightly raw vanilla oak and mint and dried herbs doesnÕt quite do justice to its pretty, juicy and sweet-fruited palate of cherries and plums. ItÕs polished, supple and charming, but is likely to fade after a few years.

Moss Wood
Moss Wood occupies a special place in Australian wine. One of the founding vineyards of the Margaret River region, it was the first to establish iconic status, where it was quickly joined by Cullen and Vasse Felix. After some years in which the winemaking and viticulture appear to have lost focus, there are indeed signs of a possible return to Moss Wood's historically expected form. The 2013 Amy's Cabernet Sauvignon has more polish and finesse than several preceding vintages, while the currently available whites from Bordeaux varieties are right on cue.
