Montalto Pinot Noir 2003

$35.00

Ripe, deeply flavoured and quite firm, bony Peninsula pinot with genuine cellaring potential. There’s an earthy, animal hide note beneath its fragrant and musky aromas of dark cherries, plums and vanilla oak. Firm, tight and fine-grained, its palate is richly flavoured with dark, spicy berry/cherry flavours. Excellent balance and structure.

Winery

Montalto
Montalto is a very diverse business, with a high-level restaurant, an olive grove and wetland development. It's very much a company that focuses on its visitor experience, so while the wine s are basically very competent and sound, there aren't too many that compete amongst the region's finest. Having said that, it's a terrific restaurant and place to spend time at.
