Maverick
Established in 2004, Maverick owns 150 acres of vines across five sites across the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Approximately half of the vines are over 50 years old, and many much older. The best of the reds are those that avoid overripeness and retain natural fruit intensity but too many, however, fall into this trap, including some of the more expensive releases. The less-expensive Twins Shiraz is typically vibrant, balanced and naturally fruitful.
