Lenton Brae
Lenton Brae is a small family-owned operation that has proven capable of making outstanding wine from the typical Margaret River mix of varieties. The whites have typically shown intensity, poise and tightness, while the reds have steadily acquired more depth and fruit richness over recent vintages. The latest Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon is an assertively oaked wine, reflecting a greater confidence in the quality and intensity of its fruit. Some of the current white releases have also perhaps been given rather a more assertive complement of oak that they might actually have needed.
