Michael Corbett is one of the most exciting new winemakers on the Australian scene. Making small volumes of charmingly expressive, textural and vivacious table wines from several South Australian regions, he is the leading bridge in Australia between the 'natural' approach to winemaking and technical excellence and soundness. The La Petit Vanguard label (and how does anyone come up with a name like that?) is a collection of bright, alluring table wines of genuine fascination but not a lot of price. I'm very interested in anything this guy makes.
