A very good, convincing cabernet now maturing into a St-Julien-like style. Deep, cedary, gravelly aromas of dark berries, plums and cherries knit with cedary oak and are lifted by scents of dried herbs. It’s sumptuous and smooth, but its generous core of fruit moves smoothly down the palate over a fine, slatey backbone, finishing very savoury with a hint of mineral.
