Ripe, smooth and chocolatey, this approachable, flavoursome and slightly baked cabernet reveals a dark, slightly inky bouquet of cassis, plums and restrained cedar/vanilla oak. Backed by a suggestion of crushed ant (formic acid) and iodide, mint and menthol, its sweet, juicy core of intense cassis, dark plums and polished oak is supported by a firmish backbone and finished with fresh acids.

Bremerton is a maker of very ripe, intensely fruited, generously oaked and affordable red wines suited to immediate enjoyment. Recent years have seen a pleasing refinement, as the wines now appear more elegant and less chunky, with an improved sense of balance and elegance, but without compromising an iota of flavour. As they become more elegant, they're able to cellar for longer. Bremerton is refocusing its white wine endeavours towards Italian varieties.
