Honeyed, smoky and toasty, this soft and approachable semillon finishes with lively acids abut some oak rawness. It needs time.
A little too herbaceous for top marks, this is a creamy, charry and almost oily semillon whose generous melon-like fruit is handsomely backed by toasty, vanilla and buttery oak, finishing with meaty, savoury notes.
A rich, broad and soft-centred semillon with overt, splintery oak that overshadows its fruit.
A bolder, chewy oak-matured semillon with a creamy core of melon/citrus fruit finishing a little splintery.
Very toasty and oaky, with lightly grassy lemon, lime and lemon-like fruit. Too oaky for true balance.
Toasting, ageing characters now marry with herbal semillon influences, There’s a juicy core of melon and lemon, ginger and clove-liked flavour tightly knit with smoky oak and wrapped in lively, clean acids.
Oaky, lightly charry aromas of restrained honeydew melon and lychees. Ripe and juicy but excessively woody, its phenolic palate of melon/tropical fruit finishes with come coarseness.
