A stylish, measured and harmonious blend with a spicy, lightly tropical fragrance of citrus, apple and pear, with nuances of lemon, tea leaves and minerals. It’s sumptuous and juicy, but long, supple and evenly paced, culminating in a lingering and savoury finish of lemony and mineral acids. Oak is reserved and secondary.
Already rather developed and ready to drink, with honeysuckle-like aromas of lime marmalade, with toasty and spicy undertones of sweetcorn, wheatmeal and butter. Showing plenty of toasty bottle-age, it’s juicy, round and generous, with a candied expression of fruit culminating in a fresh, tangy and lemony finish. A good wine that perhaps should have been released much earlier.
Very restrained and elegant, this rather evolved and savoury white blend has a delicate bouquet of honeysuckle and lemon rind, dried flowers and grilled nuts backed by vanilla oak and buttery, toasty bottle-aged aspects. Dusty and spicy, its surprisingly viscous palate is underpinned by a powdery cut of fine tannin, culminating in a lingering finish of secondary flavours and soft acids.
Oily, syrupy, overblown and out of shape. What might have been released as a lively, tight and savoury young white is now brassy, developed and meaty, with a powerful, viognier-driven presence of spicy, apricot blossom nuances, cloves and cinnamon. A rather cooked, lemon marmalade-like palate finishes with some freshness and crispness.
A spicy, early-drinking white blend lifted by its viognier influences. Rather forward and evolved, its fresh, nutty and slightly candied flavours of peach and citrus fruit, melon and apricot are backed by a fine chalkiness. It lacks a little genuine freshness and brightness. It finishes with lemony acids and a hint of confection.
Retaining plenty of freshness and spice, this rather toasty and buttery white blend has a floral, waxy bouquet of honeysuckle, dried herbs and cinnamon. Its very restrained, even palate of melon, peach and nectarine-like fruit and meaty complexity finishes quite dry and savoury, with lingering nuances of wheatmeal and nutty, creamy oak.
