Penfolds Cellar Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2006
Jeremy’s score 90/100Lightly grassy, with a dusty, waxy perfume of gooseberries, lychees and melon backed by a suggestion of oak, this supple and creamy sauvignon blanc finishes clean and focused, with a powdery texture, nutty influences and refreshing acidity. Initially quite juicy, it becomes long and restrained, with some smart dumbing down of the grape’s more obvious qualities.

Jeremy’s score 88/100A fresh and lively white blend whose generous, if slightly candied flavours of citrus and melon overlie some creaminess as well as a hint of talc and minerality. It’s long and lean, while refreshing acids lend a crisp crunchiness to the finish.
