More of an oily, keroseney riesling, which makes it unusual for a Grosset. It’s now looking rather tired and dried out, but there’s some attractive grapefruit and lemon flavour underneath its big toasty and buttery aromas. Rather broad, lacking in finesse and customary length.
A distinctively different Polish Hill, rather earthy and cheesy, with the stonefruit, dried apricot, mango and paw paw flavours more familiar in German riesling. Long and savoury, it’s now drying out somewhat, leaving behind preserved fruit characters and a lingering nutty finish.
Rather a simpler, chewier Polish Hill, with forward and developed flavours of toast, butter and dried flowers, roast nuts, toffee and honey. It’s drinking now, while its uncomplicated grapefruit flavours retain their freshness.
