Developing, rather oxidative and spicy aromas of dried flowers, citrus and melon precede a generous, round and evenly textured, smooth palate whose evolved bottle-aged flavours culminate in a lingering nutty and savoury finish. More advanced than previous releases under this label.
Slightly pungent, punchy and meaty, this heady, floral semillon reveals smoky undertones of dried flowers, lime juice and hints of lanolin. ItÕs smooth and luxuriant, delivering a long, seamless palate of intense melon/citrus fruit before fine, chalky and mineral undertones cut in at the finish. Bone-dry, itÕs a stylish, sophisticated and finely balanced wine for the long term. Its major problem is that itÕs so delicious already.
Smooth, sumptuous and deeply fruited, this beautifully composed semillon has a mineral bouquet of lemon sherbet, honeydew melon, lime and chalky undertones backed by suggestions of camphor and smokiness. Beginning to show some toastiness, itÕs long and deeply flavoured, with a powerful presence of melon and lime extending well down the palate towards a nutty, savoury finish. Finely balanced and ready to flower with further development.
