A classical Margaret River cabernet whose deep, concentrated perfume of cassis, dark cherries, plums and cedar/chocolate oak reveals undertones of mint and bay leaf. Spotlessly clean, its long and piercingly flavoured palate of pristine dark cherry/plum fruit is tightly supported by firm, fine tannins, building in its intensity towards its finely balanced and lingering finish
A beautifully elegant and structured cabernet of considerable class. Its floral perfume of sweet small black and red berries, fresh cedar//vanilla oak and undertones of dried herbs precedes a tightly focused palate of exceptional length and restrained power. Beneath its pristine expression of berry fruits and cedary oak lie nuances of dried herbs and forest floor, while its fine, superbly integrated tannins have a measured, polished quality.
A classically styled, vibrant and supple cabernet with a slightly leafy and herbal presence of sweet red and blackberries, dark cherries tightly knit with cedar/vanilla and slightly bubblegum-like oak. Its minty fragrance of sweet blue flowers, iodine and dusty dried herbs precedes a silky-smooth and vibrant palate of exceptional length and focused acidity.
A very herbaceous and capsicum-like presence of cassis, blackberries, snow peas and sweet, smoky mocha-like oak is supported by a sappy and rather metallic backbone and finished with a green acidity. Like so many Margaret River cabernets from this vintage, it lacks sufficient presence of genuinely ripe fruit.
Very stylish, with a deep, heady perfume of dense floral aromas, scents of small black and red berries knit tightly with fine-grained cedar/chocolate oak and backed by a hint of soy, it opens up with more of a tobaccoey aspect. It’s long and sumptuous, with a firmish spine of loose-knit tannin and handsome, fine-grained vanilla oak influences, but it does reveal a hint of greenish extract and a marginally baked, currant-like note.
