Jeremy’s score 95/100Very classy, polished wine whose deep, dark small berry flavours are knit with sweet fine-grained cedary oak and lifted by pungent earthy, dusty and lightly herby complexity. Elegant, very stylish, with vibrant small berries, bright acids, tight-knit ripe tannins and Medoc-like undergrowth influences.

There’s a green thread throughout its herby small berry fruit, but its attractive earthy, leathery and dark olive development suggests it will develop quite well.

There’s a trace of herby and minty complexity and an alluring fragrance of violets, cassis and fine smoky oak. Wonderfully long, balanced and savoury, it will live for decades.

Its penetrative and concentrated aromas of cassis and plums carry a light tobacco note, while around the light herbaceousness are hints of undergrowth, meat and capsicum. It’s firm and tight, still closed and reserved, but has the intensity and length to develop well.

From its heady, violet-like perfume to its lingering palate that builds towards a heady crescendo, itÕs very impactful and stylish. Aeration reveals more elegance and herbal undertones.
