This wine appears to have been made from fruit left out to ripen beyond the vineyard’s ability to photosynthesise, and is given sweetness through smoky chocolatey and vanilla oak.

Its meaty and slightly peppery scents of dark cherries and cassis reveal musky undertones of cloves and cinnamon, dark chocolate and cedar/vanilla oak. There’s also a suggestion of earth and leather. Smooth and peppery, with pleasingly persistent fruit supported by sweet oak and fine tannins, it finishes soft and savoury.
