Long, penetrative and earthy, this deeply floral and briary nebbiolo unfolds an alluring perfume of red berries, plums and cherries, dusty hints of dried herbs and a hint of animal hide. Sweetly fruited, with genuine length of juicy flavour underpinned by a firmish, fine-grained powdery backbone, it finishes with pleasingly sour-edged flavours, assertive acids and lingering hints of chocolate and dark fruits.
Elemental and slow to evolve, with meaty, rather closed, minty and tight-fisted aromas of dark plums, briar and blood plums backed by smoky, earthy and mocha notes. Its intense, sour-edged flavours of dark plums, blackberries, dark cherries are slightly overawed by assertive chocolatey oak but move down a firmish, grainy spine towards an emphatic finish of almost bloody intensity.
Perfumed and faintly meaty, floral and earthy, with pristine, fiery aromas of red berries, cherries and blood plums backed by a faint citrusy stalkiness. Long and gentle with charming length of core of vibrant berry/cherry/plum flavour would around a fine, drying spine of kernelly, mineral tannins, it extends with elegance and style towards a drying but refreshing finish. Loaded with class and varietal conviction.
Fragile and fragrant, with meaty, faintly minty, sour-edged dark cherries, cranberries and plums; fine and savoury.
