Deeply flavoured smooth and assertive this pinot noir reveals a firm structure and an attitude of controlled power Its vibrant and spicy fragrance of perfumed red and black cherries cinnamon and cloves reveals undertones of dried herbs and a light meatiness Simultaneously plump and elegant its sour-edged expression of cherries and plums is underpinned by a silky velvet-smooth cut of fine tannins At present the acids are slightly edgy and the oak rather overt but it should settle back handsomely with time
Meaty rustic earthy and leathery aromas of maraschino and boiled cherry-like fruit are backed by herbal almost sweaty undertones Medium to full in weight it’s smooth and savoury with a delicate but slightly cooked and confectionary expression of cherry-like fruit supported by fine dusty tannins Quite silky and elegant it finishes savoury but perhaps a little simple
A musky rustic pinot that takes time to unfold its underlying sweetness of red cherry and plum-like fruit Its already quite complex with distinctive floral qualities and a meaty currant-like aspect Initially supple and sappy on the palate it builds towards a more powerful crescendo gaining weight and intensity and becoming quite savoury delivering sound length and depth of fruit above some dusty fine tannins
Sweet-fruited fine and elegant with a spicy and slightly confectionary bouquet of cooked plums rhubarb and brambly small berries cherries and redcurrants backed by slightly baked and meaty undertones Its long fine-grained and sour-edged palate knit tightly with smooth polished creamy and bacony oak finishing with a hint of kirsch but also with some less convincing edgy aspects
Very ripe but able to retain a core of genuine brightness and intensity this heady and perfumed young pinot is scented with red rose petals dark cherries musk and cinnamon Long fine and supple with a pleasing emphasis of vibrant red and black cherry flavour supported by bony kernel-like tannins it finishes with lingering suggestions of cloves and fennel
This evolved and meaty pinot has a deep faintly raisined and earthy bouquet whose scents of plums and redcurrants are backed by dark chocolate suede leather cloves and cinnamon Dark and fiery its kernelly palate of plums and prunes currants and dark cherries overlies a fine supple bony undercarriage and a hint of molasses
