Long and elegant with a heady floral perfume of cassis raspberries and fresh cedarvanilla oak lifted by musky scents of violets and backed by a whiff of menthol Medium in weight it’s smooth and evenly ripened with a translucent piercingly fresh expression of juicy dark berry flavours underpinned by dusty tannins finishing with freshness and a bright acidity Just lacks the depth and emphasis for an even higher rating

Herbal faintly menthol-like aromas of dark plums cranberries cassis and cedardark chocolate oak precede a long smoky and firmish palate whose pleasing length of small black and red berries and vanilla oak overlies a gravelly faintly mineral undercarriage Just lacks the core of expression and intensity for an even higher rating
Smoky graphite-like aromas of cassis blackberries and dark plums are knit with cedary oak and lifted by a whiff of violets Profoundly ripened its long and gravelly with a dark almost currant-like spectrum of fruit wrapped in fine firmish tannins and given very assertive oak It hasnt quite the vivaciousness depth of mid palate fruit and balance for an even higher rating
A fine medium to full-bodied cabernet whose vivacious scents of red and black fruits cedarvanilla oak and dark flowers precede a measured polished palate of genuine length and ripeness Deep flavours of dark cherries plums and mulberries knit tightly with chocolatevanilla oak extending down a firm spine of crunchy gravelly tannins No green edges and some real cellaring potential
