A modern and very classy version of the classic Australian red blend. Ripe, velvet-smooth and luxuriantly soft, it matches creamy American oak with spicy small red and black berries. Brilliant concentration and length, super persistence.
Although it has a slightly pumped-up oakiness, this Signature blend is a more retrained, leafier expression of the style. Its lightly spicy aroma of fragrant wild berries and vanilla oak precedes a fractionally hollow and cedary palate which finishes soft, fine-grained and smooth and whose berry fruit has a faintly capsicum-like note.
Really classy traditional Australian red blend whose fragrant ripe aromas of small red and black berries and smoky coffee/chocolate/vanilla oak have a lightly leafy note. It’s a deep, dark and perfectly balanced wine, full in body and texture, with finely integrated ripe fruit and oak, before a lingering and slightly salty finish and fine-grained astringency.
A very stylish expression of the traditional Australian blend whose heady perfume of perfectly ripened blackcurrants, plums and small red berries is carefully augmented by fine-grained smoky oak scented with dark Swiss chocolate and vanilla. The palate is sumptuous, multi-layered and deeply flavoured, yet retains elegance and style. A spectrum of small berry fruit and plums lifted with restrained herbal influences and a suggestion of prune and treacle is framed by fine-grained, velvet-like and ripe tannins.
Intense small red and black berry aromas with a dusty, herbal and slightly greenish edge, partnered by sweet vanilla and mocha oak. Smooth and sumptuous, with pleasingly intense small berry fruit and assertive, but integrated oak finishing with good length but rather raw, drying tannins. Sweet and slightly jammy, with lingering chocolate flavours, it just needs time to settle and integrate.
Tightly built, integrated but green-edged wine that just lacks the brightness and ripeness of fruit for a higher score. Its sweet menthol-like flavours of dark berries, currants and raisins are beefed up by mocha/chocolate oak. It’s firm and generous, with a rather dusty, drying extract.
Rather a cooked and meaty bouquet with greenish, cedary and varnishy undertones. The palate offers some juicy upfront fruit and a satisfactory length of supple fruit and firm texture before becoming relatively rather lean, sappy and sour-edged.
