ItÕs supple, long and juicy, with a pleasing length of fruit underpinned by firmish, chalky tannins, finishing with brightness and balance.

A strong result from this challenging vintage, with genuine length and depth of genuinely ripened fruit. Faintly minty aromas of cassis, blackberries and dark plums backed by cedar/chocolate oak are lifted by a whiff of violets, while its elegant palate of dark fruits, fresh oak and pliant, grainy tannins finishes with herbal undertones and a slightly edgy acidity.
Underpinned by sinewy, mouthwatering tannins, this deeply ripened but slightly dehydrated red blend delivers a surprisingly complex bouquet of cassis, dark plums and cedary, chocolatey oak backed by nuances of mint and dried herbs. ItÕs long and lean, with notes of currant and prune beneath its lively flavours of cassis and dark plums. Just lacking genuine fruit sweetness and brightness, itÕs a finely made and structured wine suggestive of deep, dark but marginally baked fruit.
Smooth and polished, this ripe blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot delivers exceptional value. Its minty bouquet of dark berries, cherries and red plums reveals a faintly raisined, spice cake aspect, while its palate has some plushness and length, a fine pliant backbone and a refreshing, soft acidity. Fullish to medium in weight, it delivers depth and flavour plus the potential to develop in the bottle for at least five years.
