Quite a sophisticated example of a variety not well known for this attribute Its delicate but fruit-driven with a fresh slightly nutty bouquet of gooseberries and melon over nuances of lychees and cassis Initially round and luscious it becomes measured and evenly paced down the palate revealing a hint of minerality and a trace of oak before finishing with creamy savoury and faintly meaty complexity
