An alluring heady perfume of violets blueberries cherries dark plums and charcuterie meats with spicy peppery undertones precedes a sweet broad and juicy palate whose luscious soft and expansive expression of red black and blue fruits and fine grainy tannins moves pleasingly towards a rather a meaty finish backed by suggestions of dried herbs Supported by soft gentle tannins and finished by soft acids it does culminating in a lingering spirity sweetness
Very polished smooth and competently made from rather jammy fruit Scented with violets and lifted by a preserve and jujube-like sweetness its aromas of cranberries blueberries and raspberries reveal nuances of cloves cinnamon and licorice Its plush and juicy smooth and fine-grained finishing with moderate length softness and brightness with a lingering core of vibrant flavour
Its complex bouquet slowly reveals layers of confiture-like dark plums blackberries blueberries and red cherries with underlying floral earthy and meaty qualities Juicy and jammy its palate-staining briary expression of blueberries and plums is framed by a firm rather closed grip of chalky tannin finishing long and harmonious with a lingering core of fruit and a hint of iodide

Generously fruited this spicy blend has a slightly varnishy bouquet of raisins currants blueberries and beetroot backed by nuances of dark plums bitumen and meaty notes Its deep and dark pleasingly layered and largely grenache-driven with some meaty mataro notes and a hint of varnish Supported by firmish dusty tannin it finishes with a pleasing length of primary fruit but remains a fraction spiky for a higher rating
