Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz 2015
    Jeremy’s score 97/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Effortlessly long, smooth and supple, this polished and uber-restrained shiraz unfolds a musky, peppery and faintly meaty bouquet of mulberries, cassis, dark plums, cedar/vanilla oak and paprika backed by suggestions of cola and sweet floral notes. Flaunting its rare restraint and finesse, it reveals layers of pristine translucently clear dark red, blue and black berry flavours supported by a refined, ultra-fine spine of loose-knit tannins and knit with creamy, cedary, cigarboxy oak, building in weight and lasting forever. A very different, distinctive Hill of Grace of exceptional quality and charm.

Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz 2016
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

An unusually forward, jammy and heavy Hill of Grace with a deep, alluring bouquet of cassis, redcurrants and dark plum, minerals and Puer tea underpinned by polished cedar/vanilla oak and suggestions of violets and roasting meats. Supported by fine, loose-knit tannins, itÕs rich, forward and smoky, with a raisined and meaty palate that lacks a real core of brightness and flavour. It finishes rather warm and a little spirity, leaving an impression of rather baked fruit.

    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Artfully balanced, long and measured, this effortlessly smooth and creamy semillon reveals a faintly tobaccoey bouquet of green lemon, lemon tart and faintly buttery oak. ItÕs vivacious and mouthfilling, building depth and impact of translucently clear fruit as it moves over a fine, powdery spine towards a soft and measured finish.

Henschke Hill of Roses Shiraz 2010
    Jeremy’s score 88/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Developed and herbal, with a light bouquet of berries, plums and cedary oak that opens slowly. Slightly green-edged and metallic, it extends down a sappy palate, but dries out towards the finish. Showing signs of under and overripeness.

Henschke Hill of Roses Shiraz 2013
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Measured and beautifully ripened, with a bright, slightly fiery and earthy bouquet of redcurrants, blood plums and cranberries lifted by tight-grained cedary oak and nuances of five spine. ItÕs long and gentle, with a vibrant, almost plump palate of faintly jammy blueberry, blackberry and cassis-like flavour that extends down a fine, gravelly spine towards a polished and stylish finish.

Henschke Hill of Roses Shiraz 2015
    Jeremy’s score 96/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Smooth, polished and spotlessly clean, this long, gentle shiraz of medium to fullish weight should age slowly into a complex, cedary and cigarboxy shiraz of great quality. Laced with pepper and spice, with a heady bouquet of cassis, mulberries and redcurrants, chocolate and licorice, itÕs lifted by suggestions of clove, cardamon and sweet floral notes. Its mouthfilling core of intense dark fruit steadily builds flesh and weight as it extends down a fine, firmish and chalky spine towards a finish of exceptional length. Please keep it!
