A madeirised bottle, very advanced and pungent, oxidative and volatile, with flavours of stewed plums and prunes.
Classically developed with complex and ethereal smoky bonfire scents, leather and chocolate. Its fine-grained, long and firm palate retains sweet, intense and very persistent small fruit flavours.
Ripe and robust, sweet and brambly style, whose great length of sweet cherry and raspberry confection fruit, caramel and vanilla development is wound around tight, robust tannins.
Sumptuous and creamy, this pungent and spicy, yet focused red presents sweet earthy, truffly and leathery aromas of chocolate, coffee and cedar, with a long, intense palate of great concentration and focus.
Green-edged, slightly bitter, flat and simple, with suggestions of botrytis, but some spicy, cigarboxy and leathery development. Overtly oaky and forward.
Deep, dark and spicy, this assertive, long and powerful wine makes up in generosity what it may lack in complexity and focus.
Spicy, gamey, Rhone-ish expression of brambly, wild shiraz with great length and restraint. Elegant and creamy.
Rustic and very pungent, with lightly reductive sweaty and leathery characters, this rich and powerful wine is particularly assertive and developed.
Massive, extracted, yet balanced sweet old leathery red with some peppery vegetal flavours and a long, sumptuous palate with extraordinary depth of powerful, tightly-wound fruit. Perhaps still needs time!?
A hollow, lighter wine with a complex musky and tobaccoey fragrance, lightly varnishy notes and rather unbalanced tough, hard-edged tannins.
Concentrated, developed and very peppery, with excellent length of sour cherry and dark plum fruit, harmonious extract and slightly varnishy, but integrated oak.
