Pretty, vibrant and silky, this charming and restrained pinot supports its gently handled maraschino cherry and red berry-like fruit with a smooth undercarriage of smoky vanilla oak and fine tannins. ItÕs quite floral and earthy, with some complex clove, cinnamon and meaty undertones, finishing with just a suggestion of tomato.
Fine, silky and sappy, this juicy and rather minty and spicy young pinot has a smoky, spicy bouquet whose aromas of dark cherries, plums and redcurrants are backed by funky suggestions of animal hide and mineral. Driven by a lingering core of bright, slightly sour-edged fruit, its sweet palate of red and black plums and cherries reveals nuances of briar, undergrowth and menthol.
Very silky, elegant and supple, with a spicy perfume of red flowers, cherry preserve, mint and redcurrants backed by meaty nuances of baked earth and cedary oak. ItÕs supple and sappy, with a gentle but penetrative expression of sweet cherries, plums and small berries backed by fine chocolate/cedar oak and silky tannin, finishing with a lingering core of fruit and fresh acidity.
A heady, wild and floral bouquet of dark cherries, mulberries, cranberry and polished cedar/vanilla oak
reveals nuances of marzipan, mint and dried herbs. Smooth and supple, supported by fine, crunchy tannin, itÕs steeped in rich, juicy flavours of black and red cherries, redcurrants and berries, finishing with length and focus.
Very primary and lacking integration, this smooth and fine-grained pinot has the capacity to age well. ItÕs scented with a musky perfume of dark cherries, raspberries, briar and smoky chocolate/cedary oak backed by nuances of dried herbs. Its intense core of dark cherry, beetroot, rhubarb and dark plum flavour is handsomely oaked and underpinned by a slatey lick of fine tannins, finishing with length and a refreshing acidity
Medium in weight, this firmish and linear dry red doesnÕt really reflect pinot charm but delivers a lightly spicy expression of red plums, redcurrants, beetroot and dark cherries underpinned by notes of rhubarb and baked earth. Supported by sinewy, powdery tannins, itÕs long and focused, with a dusty, spicy finish of lively acidity.
Dusty and savoury, with less overt oak than in previous vintages, this pretty and elegant young pinot reveals a deeply floral perfume of dark cherries, plums and cedar/vanilla oak overlying suggestions of chocolate, cherries, beetroot and baked earth. ItÕs long and faintly sour-edged, with lively flavours of red cherries, blood plums and blackberries supported by fine, kernelly tannins, finishing with savoury qualities and a refreshing acidity.
Heady and floral aromas of raspberries red cherries, strawberries and beetroot with cedary oak; medium to full-bodied, smooth and supple, with a gentle length of fruit and tannin that finishes fresh but a fraction tomatoey.
Supple, slow to emerge, with a dusty presence of maraschino cherries, dried herbs and citrus oil; soft and sappy, opens to reveal a dusty spine and a more powerful core of fruit.
Round and juicy, medium in weight, with a meaty bouquet of raspberries, strawberries and leathery notes backed by rustic, earthy nuances. Supported by a fine, drying spine, its vibrant cherry/berry fruit and restrained oak extend with pleasing length, finishing with savoury and faintly herbal aspects.
