Handsomely oaked but lacking the conviction for a higher rating, with rather vegetal aromas of red plums, berries, mulberries and cassis backed by cedar/vanilla oak and a distinctive raisiny note. Forward and sweetly fruited, itÕs smooth and generous but becomes rather short and green-edged down the palate despite some plush and rather polished oak treatment. Hard to avoid the under and over-ripened influences.
An elegant, smooth and stylishly balanced right bank blend whose dusty, faintly herbal and cedary bouquet of cassis, small red berries, dark cherries and plums knits with fragrant vanilla oak. ItÕs supple and willowy, long and merlot-driven, with a plump, juicy presence of dark, succulent cherry-plum fruit extended by fine-grained, dusty and red-fruited cabernet. Supported by polished, crunchy tannins, itÕs backed by fine, cedary oak, finishing with suggestions of spice and dried herbal notes plus a lively acidity.

Willowy and finely crafted; blue flowers, dried herbs and mint with pristine cassis, mulberry and dark cherry fruit knit tightly with a firm but very elegant, tight-grained spine and fresh cedar/vanilla oak. Medium in weight and very stylish; more supple, textural and restrained than many recent vintages and the finest release under this label for two decades.
Beautifully measured, elegant and stylish, this merlot-driven blend has a deep perfume of mulberries, dark cherries, cassis and blackberries underpinned by faintly smoky chocolate/cedar oak, dried herbs and wild, meaty complexity. ItÕs long and pristine, with a superbly shaped and persistent core of cherry, plum and berry flavour would around a crunchy, textural spine, finishing gravelly and savoury.
Elegant, supple and measured, this smooth and savoury right bank blend steadily reveals more structure and unfolds layers of flavour. Bright aromas of mulberries, dark cherries, cassis and dark plums are backed by dusty, cedary oak and a herbal note. Supported by a fine chalky spine, its polished core of dark, plummy fruit knits with cigarboxy oak and moves towards a lingering, umami-like finish of tobacco leaf and mineral.
Slightly baked, jammy aromas of cassis, mulberries, blood plums and cedary oak precede a juicy, sweetly fruited palate that becomes rather luscious, cloying and lacking structure. ItÕs warm, rather simple and lacking interest.
Rather flat and reserved, with a gentle, ethereal and lightly oaked palate of gentle peach and apple-like fruit that finishes soft and supple. Lacks intensity and personality.
