A delightfully fragrant, generous, round and flavoursome shiraz of medium body whose juicy presence of redcurrants, raspberries, blueberries and cassis knits with fresh cedar/vanilla oak and is framed by a loose-knit dusty spine. Gentle and fine-grained, it has the depth of fruit and balance to develop for a few years in the bottle.
Scented with blackberries, redcurrant, dark flowers, gentle oak, cracked pepper and a hint of eastern spice, this pretty, medium-bodied shiraz delivers a juicy, red-fruited palate of modest length that tends to lack much by way of structure. It finishes with sappy, greenish and faintly metallic notes.
A forward, rather luscious and juicy shiraz whose assertively oaked bouquet of redcurrant and blood plums reveals smoky mich, vanilla and chocolate influences. Initially polished and creamy – almost bordering soupy – it then falls a little short and thin towards the finish, revealing some slightly edgy under and over-ripe notes.
A finely crafted, faintly minty higher altitude shiraz whose bright expression of dark cherries, blackberries, cassis and dark plums is knit with chocolatey oak and framed by a fine, but drying extract. It has a spicy perfume and freshness, juicy intensity and brightness, driving long towards a lingering finish of dark licorice and black fruit.
Fragrant and slightly confectionary, this off-dry riesling is forward and flavoursome, but becomes quite drying and phenolic down the palate. There’s sweetness at the finish, but it lacks the freshness and cut to balance it more adequately.
A medium-bodied, minty shiraz whose forward expression of dark berries, cherries and plums is supported by sweet smoky vanilla oak. It’s perfumed and floral, with moderate length and a faintly green-rimmed and metallic finish. Just lacking in true ripeness and length of flavour.
Spicy, herbal, faintly minty and a little green-edged, with a bright, juicy, faintly confectionary presence of vivacious berry flavours that extends with moderate length down a rather structureless backbone towards a faintly short, licorice-like and herbal finish.
