Typically perfumed, fragrant aromas of ripe guava, mango and citrus fruits with a whiff of stonefruit and lemon zest. Tangy, long and austere, with a rich, juicy palate bursting with vibrant guava and paw paw flavour. Underneath lies a slightly phenolic backbone, while racy acids tie it neatly together.
Punchy floral aromas of lime juice and minerals, with perfumed, musky and lightly tropical undertones. Racy and assertive, upfront and concentrated, it’s unusually luscious and thickly coated, becoming almost syrupy before its profound cut of mineral acidity. Lacking the length of fruit for greatness, but hardly short of flavour and presence.
A stylish and tightly presented riesling with balance, brightness and focus. Its pristine perfume of lime juice and lemon rind reveals undertones of tropical fruit and stonefruit. Laced with suggestions of melon and peach, its fine, taut and minerally palate is underpinned by fine, powdery phenolics, delivering almost an opulent expression of primary citrus-like flavour. Terrific persistence and chalkiness; a top effort.
An earlier-maturing riesling whose pronounced and musky floral perfume reveals lemon cordial-like fruit and lime juice over dusty suggestions of bathpowder. It’s a textural wine, whose smooth expression of assertive tropical, citrus and stonefruit flavours overlies a chalky spine before finishing with pleasing length and tangy, lemony acids.
Tightly focused, austere and chalky, this lightly tropical, floral and lemony young riesling has a fragrant bouquet and a juicy, linear palate whose peachy fruit is tightly wound around a mineral spine of powdery phenolics. It finishes long and steely, with a taut and bracing acidity.
A supremely elegant, finely composed and balanced riesling with a lifted floral perfume of lime and lemon backed by chalky undertones. ItÕs classically presented, with a long, smooth and deeply layered palate with almost a fatty core of unctuous bright crystalline and candied citrus rind flavour underpinned by a fine, slatey texture. Its finishes quite streamlined and dry, with admirable austerity but a lingering presence of vibrant, concentrated flavour.
Fine and stylish, long and chalky, with first-rate freshness and focus. ItÕs already very open, with a perfume of lavender, fresh pear and lime juice lifted by a profound spiciness. Its elegant and piercingly fresh palate of tangy, crystalline fruit overlies a sherbet-like chalkiness and underlying lemony notes, finishing bright and clear.
Particularly stylish, with remarkable length and focus. Deeply layered and structured, its crystal-bright bouquet is scented with pear-drop and apple, lavender and white flowers backed by undertones of spice. Long and dusty, with a juicy presence of bright pear, apple and citrusy fruit, itÕs tightly supported by a fine dusty chalkiness, culminating in a profoundly persistent and truly dry finish punctuated by brittle acidity.
Supremely elegant, balanced and complete, with a heady, floral bouquet of fresh grapefruit, lime juice and apple laced with spices and suggestions of minerals. ItÕs long and gentle, supple and delicate, an exercise in controlled power as its initially fine and reserved palate builds towards a crescendo of flavour. Underpinned by a fine, silky extract and chalky phenolics, itÕs long and very laid back, finishing with perfectly integrated acids and a remarkable length of fruit.
A fine, stylish and tightly focused riesling whose lavender-like fragrance of apple, pear and lime juice are lifted by a fragrant whiff of white flowers. ItÕs long and supple, with piercingly fresh and translucent flavours of apple, lime and lemon supported by a fine, dusty undercarriage. It finishes long and limey, with a tangy acidity and a lemon pith-like note.
Finely honed and tightly balanced, itÕs scented with aromas of white flowers, lime juice, tangerine and lemon rind backed by a fine chalkiness. Wrapped in a nervy acidity, itÕs taut and sculpted, with a piercing core of lemon, lime, apple and pear-like fruit extending long, brittle and penetrative.
