    Jeremy’s score 94/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Finely crafted and deeply layered, this sumptuous and elegant shiraz presents a fragrance of raspberries, cassis, heady floral notes and musky spices backed by sweet vanilla/cedar/chocolate oak. Long and smooth, itÕs saturated with the sweet red fruits so common to Lyndoch, generously cloaked in sweet oak and tightly entwined around a firm, drying undercarriage of fine chalky tannin. It finishes with a slightly minty note of cranberries and redcurrants.

Ageing relatively quickly, this assertive, concentrated and rather rustic shiraz reveals deep, dark aromas of plums, dark chocolates, blackberries and baked earth backed by hints of roast meats and currants, briar and minerals. Handsomely oaked, itÕs firm and sumptuous, with a good but not great length of fiery, meaty flavour, finishing with nuances of dark fruits and soy.

    Grant Burge Meshach Shiraz 2006
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Rustic and meaty, with sweetly developed chocolatey and leathery complexity, this slightly over-ripened shiraz marries its intense presence of dark berries and plums with fiery, earthy and gamey aspects, an edgy note of stewed fruit, plus a hint of lanolin and musk. Long, smooth and very generously proportioned, itÕs soft and pliant, with a firm, fine-grained extract and a faintly sour-edged finish. Already very open and approachable.

    Grant Burge Meshach Shiraz 2008
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

A firm, structured shiraz that is likely to become meaty and rustic once it reaches its ultimate maturity. Lifted by notes of musk and spice, it slowly unfolds a dense, dark and chocolatey bouquet of fully ripened berries and plums, fresh cedar/chocolate oak and roasting pan scrapings. ItÕs long and strong, still rather closed and compacted, revealing layers of dark, brooding fruit framed by firm tannins, finishing with a lingering impression of power and balance.

    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Luscious Barossa shiraz and assertive new oak combine in this profound, handsomely ripened wine. Underpinned by notes of mocha, treacle and licorice, its deep layers of blackberry, cassis, dark plum and briary aromas knit tightly with chocolate/vanilla oak. ItÕs long and velvet-smooth, delivering an unctuous, slightly raisined and currant-like mouthful of concentrated flavour, slowly unfolding a firm, crunchy spine. ItÕs very complete and will cellar well.
