Sumptuously ripened, vibrant, and evenly balanced, this slightly minty Barossa cabernet delivers a confiture-like expression of sweet red berries, plums, cherries and cassis with restrained oak influences and a fine chassis of drying tannin. ItÕs rich, juicy and very approachable, finishing with plenty of length and a suggestion of menthol.
Confiture-like aromas of plums, blackberries and redcurrants with minty, menthol-like undertones are backed by slightly raw vanilla oak. ItÕs ripe and forward, with an intense, rather assertive presence of jammy fruit that thins out down the palate towards more of a raw, drying finishing of baked fruit and astringent tannins. Lacks great freshness and brightness.
Generous, ripe and early-drinking, with a jammy bouquet of raspberries, plums and blackcurrants, fresh cedar/vanilla oak and a hint of spirit. ItÕs plush and smooth, with a firmish, fine-grained backbone and a hint of spirity warmth and baked fruit at the finish.
Smooth, elegant and juicy Barossa cabernet whose minty perfume of fresh cassis, dark berries, plums and mocha/vanilla oak has a fresh floral note. Medium to full in weight, its bright, translucent presence of blackcurrant, dark plums and blackberries knits tightly with cedary oak and nuances of dried herbs, finishing with genuine balance and a lively acidity.
Well measured, made and balanced, this short to medium term cabernet has a dusty, slightly leafy bouquet of cassis, dark plums and berries backed by nuances of briar, cedary oak, dried herbs and a scent of violet. ItÕs supple, sweetly fruited and elegant, with ripe, juicy varietal flavours knit with restrained oak and underpinned by pliant, firmish tannins. Long and measured, it does however lack genuine complexity.
A fine, stylish result from this vintage, with evenly ripened elegance and balance. Dusty aromas of sweet red berries, plums and blueberries backed by fresh vanilla/cedary oak reveal a hint of dried herbs. Smooth and gentle, its bright palate of intense cassis, mulberry and plum-like fruit knits with polished, fine-grained oak and supple tannins, finishing with freshness and focus.
Elegant and generously flavoured, with a sweet, vibrant and faintly jammy bouquet of fresh violets, blackcurrants and sweet cedar/vanilla oak preceding a smooth and rather polished palate. Juicy berry fruits integrate harmoniously with fine, supple tannins, finishing with length, freshness and focus.
Earthy and slightly baked, with cassis, dark plums and red berries backed by older oak and a robust, rather sinewy and blocky spine.
Heady and minty, laced with violets, cassis, blackberries and dark plums supported by chocolate/vanilla oak and fine, pliant tannins.
Deep pastille-like cassis, dark plums and cedar/chocolate oak extend long and creamy over a firmish, powdery spine. Needs a little time.
