Elegant, smooth and vibrant, this earlier-maturing wine is now close to its peak. An earthy, floral bouquet of slightly green-edged and herbal fruit precedes a fine-grained palate of vibrant cassis and small dark berry fruit and fresh cedar/vanilla oak, backed by nuances of mint. Underpinned by, supple tannins, it finishes slightly sappy, with a hint of cardboard. The wine was bottled under screwcap.
A maturing, fine and elegant, lightly cedary and tobaccoey cabernet whose subtle aromas of small black and red berries reveal some greenish undertones. Framed by faintly sappy tannins, itÕs surprisingly vibrant and fruit-driven, delivering a supple expression of moderately intense black and red berries knit with cedary oak and bound by a slightly green-edged acidity.
Long, supple and sweetly fruited, this very gentle, almost ethereal cabernet has a delicate, floral bouquet of bright ripe blackcurrant, red berries, cedary oak and faint herbal nuances. ItÕs smooth and refined, with a lively marriage of small fruits, restrained oak and a dusty spine of pliant tannins that finishes with charming length, freshness and balance,.
Assertive and heady grenache-driven aromas of spicy plumcake, cloves, cinnamon and sweet oak precede a juicy, slightly tarry palate whose plump expression of dark, spicy fruit is framed by slightly blocky tannins and underpinned by suggestions of mint and menthol. Finishes almost savoury, with a lingering core of mineral-backed fruit. Lacks real definition and distinction.
