Elegant and focused, but with a slightly unusual Vitamin B-like finish more evident because it lacks true length of fruit. Its spicy, floral bouquet of melon, citrus and restrained oak has a faintly tropical note, while its elegant, crunchy and chalky palate culminates in a taut acidity but finishes marginally short.
Silky-smooth, polished and refined, this long, luscious chardonnay reveals a spicy, floral bouquet of melon and citrus fruits backed by complex meaty, waxy and mineral notes. With a texture thatÕs almost oily, its generous flavours of melon, peach and grapefruit culminate in a gentle but persistent finish of soft acids and lingering lemony, spicy and waxy notes.
Long, stylish and elegant, this finely composed chardonnay reveals a youthfully closed but already complex bouquet of grapefruit, peach, cashew and vanilla overlying nuances of cloves, nutmeg and dried flowers. ItÕs long and even, with a creamy, almost fatty and citrusy palate that builds towards its assertive finish of grapefruit, melon and lemon drop flavours. It just needs time.
Slightly awkward and disjointed in its youth, this rather wild and funky pinot has everything it needs to appear quite impressive over the medium term. Its unusual confectionary-like aromas of raspberries, cherries and quince reveal smoky, charcuterie-like undertones. Its savoury palate of plum and maraschino cherries is quite fine and restrained, but is underpinned by firm, drying bony tannins. Give it time.
Assertive and well structured, this stylish and well-mannered pinot has a spicy, herbal and meaty bouquet of dark plums, blueberries, dark cherries and raspberries lifted by scents of blue flowers, mint and menthol. ItÕs long, smooth and supple, with a punchy, tomatoey presence of redcurrant fruit underpinned by fine, crunchy tannins, finishing with fresh acids. A little too tomatoey for a higher rating.
Stylish, elegant, medium-bodied and translucently clear, this lively but laid-back chardonnay unfolds a delicate perfume of grapefruit, white peach, coriander, ginger and vanilla oak lifted by scents of yellow flowers. ItÕs long and gentle, with pleasing drive and suppleness, extending with charm and elegance over an assertive chalkiness, finishing with a lively, bitey acidity.
