Early-drinking, with brassy, cooked and candied aromas of peach, melon and lemon peel backed by sweet buttery vanilla oak and smoky leesy complexity. Ripe, juicy and forward, its rather broad and brassy palate of lemon tart, melon and confectionery fruit finishes with moderate length and soft acidity.
Very developed and oily, this toasty young chardonnay blend lacks its typical freshness. A brassy, candied bouquet of peach and melon with assertive undertones of caramel, honeysuckle and melted butter precedes a viscous, syrupy palate that finishes without much definition and a lingering note of creme brule.
Complex and nougat-like, with melon/grapefruit flavour and matchstick oak.
Forward and almost candied, itÕs round, juicy and voluptuous, marrying notes of lemon marmalade with restrained creamy oak, lime juice and green olives, plus a whiff of coriander. ItÕs soft and mouthfilling, with a generous core of fruit backed by nutty, nougat-like undertones and a hint of butterscotch. It just lacks the drive and focus for a higher rating.
A genuine baby Giaconda, this excellent young chardonnay presents a bright and rather concentrated bouquet of lemon blossom, grapefruit and white peach backed by suggestions of charcuterie meats and creamy nougat. ItÕs long, round and voluptuous, moving with viscosity but without excessive weight down its textural palate towards a faintly mineral, crunchy finish. Very complete and persistent, with a lingering savoury, marly aspect.
Sumptuous, mouthfilling grapefruit melon and peach with creamy, nougat undertones and matchstick oak backed by coriander, lime and ginger.
Heady and perfumed, deeply and profoundly floral, with scents of red rose petals, violets, sweet black berries and fine cedary oak backed by nuances of blueberries, dark plums and undertones of cloves and dried herbs. ItÕs long, fine-grained and supremely elegant, with mouthfilling flavours of elegant, translucently clear flavour extending with suppleness and balance over a sandpapery backbone of drying tannins. It finishes with clarity and focus, with a lingering core of fruit, meaty complexity, refreshing acidity and a fine astringency.
