A long, complete and mouthfilling chardonnay whose bright aromas of stonefruit, grapefruit and yellow flowers are backed by nuances of mineral, charcuterie, cinnamon and ginger. Medium to fullish in weight, with a creaminess and underlying nutty aspect, its intense core of stonefruit and citrus flavour extends with genuine complexity and a buttery hint of malolactic influence towards a finely balanced finish shaped by a vivacious acidity.
Stylish and translucently clear, this vivacious young chardonnay flaunts the quality of its pristine fruit. Scented with white peach, nougat and grapefruit backed by creamy, nutty oak with notes of smoke and matchstick, it’s lifted by a note of spice and a whiff of lemon blossom. It’s smooth and fluffy, with a beautifully weighted core of flavoured underpinned by a lick of slate and wrapped in a mouthwatering acidity. Artfully balanced, but fruit-focused.
Bright aromas of yellow flowers, peach and nectarine are lifted by a whiff of fennel and tightly knit with creamy vanilla and cashew-like oak. Long and complete, it’s measured and evenly paced, with a pleasing length, brightness and drive of citrus, stonefruit and tropical flavours backed by a nutty creaminess, building towards a lingering and finely tapered finish of vivacious, mouthwatering acidity.
A true vin de garde and a timely slap in the face for the makers and critics who believe it’s impossible to have chardonnay with both finesse and flavour. Piercing aromas of ruby grapefruit, peach and nectarine knit with a subdued, schisty presence of nutty oak and creamy yeast-derived influences, cinnamon, coriander and ginger. Translucently clear, its vivacious and voluminous, with a explosive flash of fruit that eases down a fine, powdery spine towards a brittle, savoury finish wrapped in mouthwatering acids. Superb shape and style – the new Peninsula benchmark. Becomes more mineral with age.
