Lacking genuine conviction ripeness and structure with rather dusty leafy aromas of cassis mulberries and dark cherries backed by cedardark chocolate oak and a hint of blue mould cheese Medium to full in weight it’s supple fine and elegant delivering rather a herbaceous expression of cherryplum fruit framed by a slightly insipid spine of green-edged tannin
Meaty slightly varnishy aromas of blackberries red plums mulberries and capsicum are backed by sweet cedarvanilla oak Smooth polished elegant and fine-grained its moderately rich and supple palate does reveal both over and under-ripe flavours finishing a fraction spirity and edgy Its handsomely oaked with a lingering presence of fruit and fine supple tannins
Some polished winemaking using some fine-grained cedary oak has lifted some dusty rather leafy fruit into a smooth and supple wine with pleasing juiciness and intensity With just a short presence of berry flavour oak tends to lengthen the palate while it lacks much by way of structure and spine
Under-ripe with pungent aromas of asparagus and capsicum with a light presence of fruit and oak Its thin and hollow with some initial fruit sweetness and a modest extract of tannin
Stylish and elegant this dusty rather leafy and more herbal cabernet reveals a sweet bouquet of cassis mulberries lightly smoky cedarvanilla oak and a suggestion of forest floor Its long and subtle but with genuine presence of small berrycherry fruit framed by fine drying tannin building towards a substantial finish
