Juicy, ripe and forward, with a musky, spicy and peppery presence of slightly meaty and currant-like raspberry/blackberry/cassis flavours lifted by a pronounced expression of apricot blossom viognier influences. ItÕs sumptuous and jammy, and despite its viognier-driven intensity at the front of the palate, it lacks great length, finishing rather metallic and slightly dehydrated.
An earthy, slightly leathery red lifted by spicy floral aromas and whose lightly baked expression of small berries, plums and fruitcake-like spices has moderate weight and depth, plus a fine-grained, drying undercarriage. Lacking great length and freshness, it finishes with lingering meatiness.
Slightly baked and lacking great length, with a spicy, earthy and faintly meaty bouquet of redcurrants, blackberries, briar and musky spices backed by restrained cedar/vanilla oak. Its rich, forward, almost currant-like expression of berry/plum fruit dries out towards a meaty, slightly raisined and herbal finish.
Quite reductive and earthy, with a profoundly viognier-weighted balance between the two varieties, this wild and rustic blend has a leathery bouquet whose scents of small dark berries, plums and earthy notes are lifted by pungent aromas of spice and floral notes. ItÕs medium to full-bodied, supple and elegant, with a vibrant, juicy palate whose small berry flavoured reveal some earthy but faintly metallic aspects.
Reflecting its cooler season, with an earthy and peppery bouquet whose floral and viognier-driven spicy notes overlie nuances of red and black berries, plums and a suggestion of apricot. Medium to full-bodied, it’s smooth and soft, with a generous palate underpinned by a fine, drying spine that becomes a little awkward at the finish. Short term.
Peppery, spicy dark plums, briar, blackberries and cassis with hints of game meats; long and luscious, with juicy dark fruits over dusty tannins, finishes fresh and spicy.
Generous and punchy if not entirely sophisticated chardonnay with an oaky, buttery and toasty aroma of cooked peach/banana fruit over toffee-like malolactic characters. Smooth and creamy, its almost slippery palate offers a rich mouthful of peaches and cream fruit, neatly wrapped in refreshing citrusy acids. Should flesh out even further.
Generous, broad and oily, this fast-developing chardonnay has a toasty bouquet of melon and citrus, backed by slightly reductive cheesy, rubbery nuances. Viscous and buttery, its rich and toasty palate is augmented by some raw-edged oak and finishes with rather sappy, lemony acids. Lacks finesse.
