Long, firm and tightly focused, this lean, sinewy but powerfully fruited cabernet simply needs time. Its brooding, rather closed bouquet of dark plum and berries, bitumen and dark olives reveals some floral perfume while its tightly muscled and astringent palate suggests deeply ripened fruit and baked earth.
A deep, rich and profoundly fruited cabernet whose dark, brooding aromas of cassis, dark plums and dark chocolate are backed by a hint of menthol. It’s firm and robust, with deep, powerful flavours of dark fruits, minerals and chocolate oak framed by drying, astringent and ironstone-like tannins. It’s just a fraction raw-edged and jammy, but not overcooked.
ItÕs not the worldÕs most elegant cabernet, but itÕs truly delicious! It opens slowly to reveal a presence of ripe plum, blackberry, red berry and dark chocolate, with nuances of cherries, dried herbs, polished leather and a hint of currant. Underpinned by an uncompromisingly firm rod of drying, bony tannin, itÕs long and assertive, becoming more concentrated and intense towards its lingering finish of sour-edged fruit.
Firm, structured, deeply flavoured and balanced, this vibrant, floral and sweetly fruited cabernet has a long future. ItÕs long, surprisingly elegant and deeply layered, with intense presence of red berries, cranberries, cassis and dark plums tightly knit with fresh cedar/vanilla oak and supported by a bony, astringent cut of powdery tannin. It leaves a lingering impression of dark fruit, finishing quite savoury with earthy, meaty undertones.
Very well measured, structured, this longer-term and very regional wine has a lightly herbal and minty bouquet of dark plums, cassis and blackberries knit with cedar/chocolatey oak and backed by a hint of dark olives. ItÕs long, smooth and fine-grained, with deep, dark flavours of blackberries, cassis, and dark plums underpinned by notes of dried herbs, mineral and olives. It finishes with pleasing length, freshness, lingering dark fruits and an intangible hint of charm.
An elegant, textured and finely structured long-term wine with genuine depth of evenly ripened fruit. Its dusty, herbal and cedary fragrance of cassis, raspberries and violets knits tightly with cedar/vanilla oak, revealing undertones of dark olives. Focused around a firm spine of drying tannins, its tightly drilled and elegant palate unfolds a pleasing length of small black and red berry fruits, finishing with fresh acids and a faintly mineral, briny note.
A finely balanced and complex long-term cabernet whose deep, dark aromas of cassis, plus, and cedary, cigarboxy oak steadily open to reveal more layers of fruit sweetness. Firm and full-bodied, its long, translucent presence of intense fruit is augmented by rustic, meaty complexity, becoming more savoury and mineral towards its graphite-like finish. graphite and mineral finish.
