A classical cabernet blend with a deep red-ruby colour and a heady perfume of violets, dark cherries, plums and cedar backed by nuances of dark chocolate, musk plus a suggestion of spearmint. Underpinned by firm, bony tannins, its plush, dark-fruited palate of penetrative flavour knits tightly with smoked bacon and walnut-like oak, before finishing with great length, harmony and a lingering astringency.

Deftly balanced and finely structured, with a sweet, very aromatic and floral perfume of cassis, red cherries, vanilla/cedar oak and raspberries. ItÕs very fine-grained and supple, with pristine small berry/cherry flavours entwined with a gentle, but drying backbone and knit with tight-grained oak. Silky smooth, itÕs long and seamless, with a lingering core of juicy red berries and dark cherries punctuated by delightful acidity.

Very elemental, this lightly herbal cabernet blend has a delicate floral and cedary bouquet whose delicate aromas of small black and red berries and cherries reveal a meaty edge. ItÕs medium to full-bodied, and after a long aeration steadily reveals more depth and darkness of fruit as it slowly sheds some of the herbal, underbrush-like aspects that tend towards greenness and edginess when first opened. Supported by a fine, drying backbone, its bright forest berry/cherry flavours gradually build weight and density towards the finish. Likely to age in a classical, cigarboxy fashion.

Polished and complete, with a dusty fragrance of small red and black berries, fresh cedary oak and faint suggestions of spice lifted by a sweet floral perfume. ItÕs long and assertive, with a surprisingly robust spine of fine, drying tannins supporting a translucently clear palate of lively small berry and cherry flavour that delivers some weight and plumpness before finishing with charming balance and a refreshing acidity. The finest release under this label for several vintages.
