Long, austere and mineral, with a dusty, lightly herbal, nutty and toasty fragrance of gooseberries and restrained vanilla oak backed by nuances of lemon, lime and cinnamon. Cullen Cullen Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2012
    Jeremy’s score 89/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Extremely taut and lean, with a very reserved and lightly herbal bouquet of lychees and vanilla oak plus a long, austere palate whose core of pithy, lemony fruit extends towards a finish of exceptional tightness and acidity. It has plenty of length but has been harvested so early itÕs hard to determine whether or not it has the depth of flavour for much will develop with time in the bottle.

Robust, but slightly leafy and sappy cabernet blend whose dusty, herbal and cedary aromas of dark berries, plums and tobacco have developed an appealing meatiness. Sweet leathery fruit finishes savoury but slightly sappy and metallic along a firm, bony palate. Not quite perfectly ripened.

Cullen Diana Madeline Cabernet Blend 1980
    Jeremy’s score 89/100

Powerful, meaty and long-living red whose dusty, herbal aromas are slightly vegetal. Its dusty, loose-knit palate presents a fine length of minty, robust fruit framed by astringent, slightly blocky and green-edged tannins, finishing with menthol and cedar. 16.7, drink 1992-2000+.
