    Jeremy’s score 94/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

A supple, appealing medium term shiraz with lingering dark pepper and spicy fruit flavours, finishing savoury and fine-grained. More new oak would have made it better still. (17.5, Drink 2004-2008, $31 retail, approx.)

    Craiglee Shiraz 1997
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

A classic wine, but more voluptuous and ripe than we’ve seen before from Craiglee. Its opulent, heady fragrance of violets, dark cherries, spicy plums, cinnamon and clove is lifted by a whiff of cracked dark pepper, while the palate is luscious, dark and utterly charming, finishing long and savoury with lingering tight-knit tannins. (18.8, Drink 2005-2009, $34 retail, approx.)

    Craiglee Shiraz 2000
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

A riper Craiglee shiraz from a warmer year, perfumed with spice, licorice and dark pepper, hints of undergrowth and small cherries, cassis and restrained vanilla oak. Fleshy and generous, yet supple and elegant, with intense flavours of small dark berries tightly focused around a fine backbone of integrated tannins and framed by new, fine-grained vanilla oak.

    Craiglee Shiraz 2001
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Moderately firm, but restrained cellar style of shiraz with a delicate minty/menthol and peppery aroma of small red and black berries and cherries, backed by cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon with some restrained cedar/vanilla oak. Long, fine and tightly focused, its restrained and supple palate reveals some intense spicy berry fruit over lightly herbal and sappy influences, building in the mouth to a firm finish of black fruit, clove and fennel.

    Craiglee Shiraz 2002
    Jeremy’s score 94/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Long, supple and savoury shiraz whose delicate perfume of violets and dark cherries is accentuated with sneezy nuances of black pepper, musky spices and licorice. Presenting a long, creamy palate of vibrant dark fruits, tightly-knit fine tannins and restrained oak, it finishes long and spicy.
