  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 1994
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Medium to full red crimson, browning. Supple, sappy, but slightly green-edged pinot whose dusty perfume of game meats and bell pepper precede a lightly herbal but willowy and supple palate of weight and generosity. Pleasing length, brightness and texture, but a little herbal for a higher score.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 1996
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Full to medium fiery red. Dusty, floral and under-developed, with cherry and plum aromas underpinned by sweet cedary oak and capsicum-like notes of tobacco and bell pepper, this supple and very primary pinot is unlikely ever to fully mature. Pleasing enough, but rather confectionary and herbaceous, framed by sappy green-edged tannins, it’s peaking now.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 1997
    Jeremy’s score 96/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 1998
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Medium to full crimson red. Structured, savoury and robust Musigny-styled pinot with a slightly confectionary perfume of floral, herbal and peppery notes over sweet oak and earthy undertones. Its firm, bony palate reveals meaty, robust qualities before finishing with strength and length. Impressive indeed, if not my favourite style of pinot.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 2000
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Moderately deep fiery red. Powerful, plump and juicy, this substantial if rather uncomplicated wine offers plenty of richness, floral perfume and flavour. Its intense aromas of raspberries, cherries and sweet vanilla oak reveal floral, earthy and stony undertones of bacon, while the palate is textured, ripe and fatty.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 2005
    Jeremy’s score 96/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Perhaps the finest Coldstream Hills pinot yet made, with an unbelievably floral, perfumed, smoky and fragrance bouquet of intense raspberry, cherry-like fruit backed by nuances of cassis and sweet chocolate/mocha/vanilla oak. Silky-smooth, it is long and even, presenting a spotless array of pristine berry/cherry fruit tightly knit with sweet oak and framed by fine, supple tannins. Finishing with vibrant acidity, it has plenty of length and persistence. Top-class.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 2006
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Smoky, oaky and sumptuously laden with dark cherry and plum-like fruit, this voluptuous and mouthfilling pinot just lacks the conviction and harmony for a higher rating. It steadily reveals meaty, mocha-like and some greenish undertones, while its powerful and slightly chunky palate is underpinned by a slightly drying extract, finishing with notes of mint and menthol. With development it has become quite gamey and leathery, retaining a pleasing length and core of fruit, cherries, and plums, balanced with a firm, drying fine-grained extract. It has unquestionably matured beyond my early expectations.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 2010
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Handsomely oaked, this finely balanced and deeply fruited pinot has an alluring, heady and floral bouquet of deep red and black berries, cherries and a hint of beetroot knit with smoky, meaty nuances and suggestions of five spice. Sumptuous layers of dark fruit, smoky roasted oak and fine, firm tannins integrate with style and balance, leaving an impression of a profound, high quality cellaring style that will age slowly and gracefully.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 2012
    Jeremy’s score 96/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 2013

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 2017
    Jeremy’s score 94/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Fine and elegant, heady and perfumed, with rose petals, back cherries and forest berries backed by cedary oak and fine, supple tannins.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 2018
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Deeply floral, spicy and faintly smoky aromas of blood plums, dark cherries and a whiff of cola precede a long, intense and pristine palate that steadily unfolds layers of sour-edged flavour supported by firmish, crunchy tannins. Very stylish, with handsome but measured oak influence.
