A fast-evolving young chardonnay whose ripe and slightly candied aromas of melon, cumquat, figs and lemon sherbet overlie nuances of honey and butter. Rich, round and viscous, its creamy, buttery palate of peachy fruit has developed a brassy, barley sugar-like quality, lacking great length and finishing a little short and advanced.
A very fragrant, spicy and faintly meaty traminer whose heady, floral bouquet of lychees, rose oil, clove and cinnamon are backed by nuances of minerals, musk and lemon sherbet. ItÕs long and chalky, with a trim, complete length of juicy flavour tightly wrapped in a brisk acidity, finishing fresh and savoury.
A briny, austere and spicy traminer, packed with fruit and exhibiting a fine balance between fruit, acidity and minerality. Its pungent, musky bouquet of lychees, rose oil and spice borders on the exaggerated, while its luscious, soft and oily palate frames its pleasing length of fruit with savoury and mineral notes, finishing with distinctive punctuation and a faint sweetness.
A complex, mineral and genuinely varietal traminer whose spicy, faintly meaty aromas of lychees and rose oil have a bright translucent quality. ItÕs elegant and brightly lit, tightly honed but soft and quite restrained, delivering a good but not great length of fruit that culminates in a savoury, refreshing and mineral finish.
A deliciously fruited, marginally sweet, musky and mouthwatering gewrztraminer whose deeply floral and spicy bouquet of lychees, rose water, musk stick and cloves reveals a hint of tangerine. Meaty and quite savoury, itÕs long and stylish, with fresh citrus and lychee, pear and peach flavour extending over a fine chalkiness towards a dry-ish finish of nervy acidity. Drink it within the next couple of years because there’s perhaps a trace of botrytis that might fatten it out.
