Very smart, stylish and fully ripened modern impression of McLaren Vale shiraz with a vibrant aroma of cranberries, red cherries and plums over meaty farm floor undertones, chocolate/vanilla/coconut oak and suggestions of menthol and mint. Smooth, long and luscious, its vibrant, spicy flavours of cassis, dark plums and sour cherries are enhanced by its reductive, charcuterie-like complexity and framed by the finest of tannins. A fraction spirity, but neither overripe nor porty.
Deeply flavoured and faultless, this stylish modern McLaren Vale shiraz marries dark and slightly treacle-like fruit with smoked oyster-like oak and velvet tannins. Its spicy fragrance of sour cherries, dark plums, cassis and smoky vanilla oak reveals undertones of bitumen and cloves, while its moderately full palate is smooth and velvet-fine. Sumptuous, sour-edged and concentrated, it finishes with a lingering core of fruit and dark olives.
A smooth, polished shiraz whose intense, brambly flavours of raspberries, redcurrants, cherries and plums are backed by meaty, spicy complexity and sweet vanilla/cedar oak. Its earthy, floral bouquet has a ripe, jammy intensity, with undertones of mint and cranberry. Slightly confectionery and darker-fruited, its supple, fine-grained palate finishes long and persistent, with lingering notes of five spice and licorice.
