    Brokenwood Pinot Gris 2011
    Jeremy’s score 87/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Rather broad, cloying and early-maturing, with a spicy, cinnamon-like and honeyed bouquet suggestive of pears and baklava. ItÕs round and juicy, with an assertive expression of peach/nectarine flavour that tends to stall down the palate, finishing with intensity and fruit sweetness.

  • Brokenwood Pinot Gris 2024
    Jeremy’s score 89/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
    $30.00

Moderately perfumed, musky and floral, with an up-front core of luscious, juicy flavour that moves with good, if not special length down a fine, dusty spine, it’s bright and fresh, with a developing oiliness and a clean, if faintly sweet finish.

Elegant, silky and fruit-driven shiraz with a fragrant spicy bouquet of raspberries, cherries and red plums supported by slightly polished cedar/vanilla oak. Very smooth, soft and generous, its sumptuous expression of intense black and red berry/plum flavours almost borders on jamminess, but is wrapped around a supple spine of fine-grained velvet-like tannins. Very modern and stylish.

    Brokenwood Rayner Vineyard Shiraz 2002
    Jeremy’s score 94/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Very smart, stylish and fully ripened modern impression of McLaren Vale shiraz with a vibrant aroma of cranberries, red cherries and plums over meaty farm floor undertones, chocolate/vanilla/coconut oak and suggestions of menthol and mint. Smooth, long and luscious, its vibrant, spicy flavours of cassis, dark plums and sour cherries are enhanced by its reductive, charcuterie-like complexity and framed by the finest of tannins. A fraction spirity, but neither overripe nor porty.

    Brokenwood Rayner Vineyard Shiraz 2003
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Deeply flavoured and faultless, this stylish modern McLaren Vale shiraz marries dark and slightly treacle-like fruit with smoked oyster-like oak and velvet tannins. Its spicy fragrance of sour cherries, dark plums, cassis and smoky vanilla oak reveals undertones of bitumen and cloves, while its moderately full palate is smooth and velvet-fine. Sumptuous, sour-edged and concentrated, it finishes with a lingering core of fruit and dark olives.

    Brokenwood Rayner Vineyard Shiraz 2005
    Jeremy’s score 91/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

A smooth, polished shiraz whose intense, brambly flavours of raspberries, redcurrants, cherries and plums are backed by meaty, spicy complexity and sweet vanilla/cedar oak. Its earthy, floral bouquet has a ripe, jammy intensity, with undertones of mint and cranberry. Slightly confectionery and darker-fruited, its supple, fine-grained palate finishes long and persistent, with lingering notes of five spice and licorice.
