Elegant, fine-grained and savoury wine whose meaty, musky perfume of violets and plums does suggest some slightly cooked fruit. Smooth and supple, its restrained but moderately full palate presents a vibrant expression of cassis and plum flavour overlying a gravelly spine of fine, bony tannins.
Floral and earthy, with sweet, juicy flavours of small black and red berries backed by cedar/vanilla oak and underlying notes of currants and dried herbs, this smooth, vibrant and spirity young cabernet blend is underpinned by a fine, dusty spine of coarse linen tannins. It builds in weight and intensity towards the finish, becoming richly flavoured and sumptuously textured, but does reveal a warm, spirity presence of excessive alcohol.
Rather cooked and meaty, this porty, plummy and pruney cabernet has a raisined, currant-like presence of fruit lifted by some blackberry flavour. ItÕs dark, smooth and fine-grained, with a rather baked fruit profile that finishes without genuine brightness or freshness.
Firm, well made and ageworthy, with a fragrance of violets and cassis, blood plums and cedar/chocolate oak backed by a hit of dried herbs. Full to medium-bodied, with a pleasing length of slightly jammy blackcurrant, raspberry and plums flavours, itÕs framed by a fine, drying astringency.
Well made and mannered cabernet for the medium term. Sweet, youthful, estery aromas of cassis, raspberries and fresh cedar/vanilla oak have a perfume of violets and red flowers. Medium to full-bodied, itÕs smooth, juicy and elegant, with dark, brightly lit fruit and creamy chocolate/ vanilla oak underpinned by fine, silky tannins, finishing with a faint dustiness and a fresh acidity.
Full to medium bodied, this elegant and fine-grained blend has a restrained but complex bouquet of dark berries, cherries and plums knit with cedary oak and backed by nuances of mineral and baked earth. Its long, deeply flavoured palate of lively small berry and plum flavours, fresh oak and drying, powdery tannins culminates in a lingering finish of sour cherry, earthy and mineral notes wrapped in a fresh acidity.
