Long and complete, with smoky, faintly toasty aromas of melon, peach and vanilla oak lifted by a whiff of dried herbs. ItÕs measured and savoury, with a chardonnay-enriched mid palate that extends towards a soft, supple and faintly powdery finish.
A brightly it, fine and elegant wine whose citrusy fruit reveal a candied aspect but which does expand with freshness and length. Quite primary and of a style that is unsupported by significant levels of oak Ð quite differently in that regard to the wines of this label as made by the founder of Yarra Yering Ð this has morphed into a light, medium bodied and refreshing wine of a Macon-like style that Bailey Carrodus would perhaps have struggled to understand.
Delicate but appealing aromas of lemon zest, vanilla oak, melon and bubblegum reveal a note of creamy yeast and dried herbs. A generous, long and complete palate of vivacious, translucently clear fruit extends smooth and focused towards a mouthwatering and faintly saline finish. Delightfully measured, balanced and integrated; likely to age rather well.
Musky, spicy and floral; bright citrus and fresh butter/vanilla oak with funky undertones; luscious but focused, long and dusty, finishing savoury and meaty with mouthwatering acids.
A heady, sweet perfume laced with pepper and spice precedes a charming, if rather simple palate of moderate weight whose juicy fruit extends prettily down a fine backbone towards a lively finish of soft acidity.
Deliciously approachable, with a heady scent of sweet red cherries, raspberries, cassis and rose petals lifted by dusty spices and a whiff of chocolatey oak. Medium in weight, smooth and luscious, its mouthfilling presence of juicy red and blue fruits and silky fine tannins finishes with elegance and freshness.
Brightly perfumed, fresh and lively, with pristine scents of cherries, raspberries, redcurrants and a faintly herbal whiff of cracked pepper, this medium to light-bodied red presents a pleasing length of fresh, perfectly ripened small berry/cherry fruit underpinned by a powdery spine of fine, crunchy tannins. It’s refreshingly clean and and lively, finishing with a pleasing length of fruit, flavour ,a lingering note of red licorice and a refreshing acidity.
