Plush and generous, scented with a violet-like bouquet of cassis, raspberries and white pepper, with aromatic cedar/vanilla, faintly chocolatey oak and a faintly jammy note. It’s smooth and elegant, revealing a viscous, juicy presence of sweet berry fruit and nutty oak supported by a faintly green-edged and metallic extract. Likely to flesh out into a more complete, medium to full-bodied wine after just a couple of years.
Smooth and polished, this juicy, sweetly fruited shiraz of medium to full body has a faintly dusty, herbal fragrance of delicate black and red berries and cedary oak lifted by a scent of white pepper. Its sweet, confiture-like expression of redcurrant, blackberries, cassis and licorice-like fruit extends with length, elegance and freshness down a gentle, pliant palate towards a fresh, savoury finish with lingering notes of mint and menthol.
Elegant and willowy, with a wild, brambly and faintly jammy bouquet of blackcurrants, redcurrants and cedar/vanilla oak backed by nuances of musk and dark flowers. Its gentle, medium to full-bodied palate combines juicy berry fruit with restrained oak and a pliant spine of fine tannins, finishing with minty cola-like notes and fresh acids.
Cracked pepper, blackberries, dark plums, cassis and polished cedary oak; smooth and measured, juicy sour-edged fruit and dusty tannins, finely balanced.
An elegant, gentle, medium-bodied shiraz whose lively red and black fruit and cedar/chocolate oak are lifted by notes of cracked black pepper and backed by emerging nuances of leather and game meats. Long and faintly mineral.
A finely balanced and typically regional Coonawarra shiraz of medium to fullish weight. Its vivacious fragrance of dark berries and plums, eastern spices and cracked pepper is gently backed by cedar/vanilla oak, while its lingering palate of blackberries, cassis and redcurrant flavour reveals a faintly sour-edged aspect. Finishing with a tightly integrated acidity, it’s supported by chocolatey oak and a gravelly backbone. Top value.
A creamy, vivacious prosecco whose pleasingly long and crunchy palate features fresh pear and apple skin flavours and just a faint sweetness that’s finely balanced by a refreshing acidity. An excellent aperitif!
